Martijn studied Commercial Economics with a focus on international markets. He worked as a consultant, project manager and team leader, among other things, in the Netherlands and internationally, in the healthcare sector as well as in technical environments. His strength is that he is able to get people and organizations on board in cultural change – in the broadest sense. ‘Teams are often able to accomplish much more than they thought was possible. Once they realize that, they really get energized.’

Outside his work, Martijn is a gourmet and a boxer. He does the latter at least twice a week, at the training club.

Martijn is analytical and goals-oriented but also has a strong sense of togetherness and safety. Because whether we’re talking about operational or financial performance, it’s people who need to make the difference. Martijn therefore believes that improvement is always about processes, management and behavior. That calls for a focus on motives and parameters – on the technical side as well as in the provision of care.
